***NEW CLUB RECORD***NEW CLUB RECORD***NEW CLUB RECORD*** Saturday Competition EHSAA would like to congratulate Alan Kent for taking a new club record with his Smooth hound of 16lb 2oz during yesterdays “Saturday Competition” aboard his boat “Lady Ghislaine”. Alan’s fellow crew member, Peter Wiseman, had held the record since 2007 with a 14lb 9oz smooth hound, and although he was unable to regain the title back from Alan during the competition he did land himself an equally decent sized smooth hound of 11lb 14oz. Alan and Pete kept both of the fish alive during the day, and after the weigh in, they were carefully released back into the sea, where we watched them happily swim away. The results of the comp are as follows; Best Specimen Fish...ALAN KENT… Smoothhound 16lb 2oz (NEW CLUB RECORD) 50 POINTS Best Specimen Round…PETER WISEMAN….Smoothhound 11lb 14oz 50 POINTS Best Specimen Flat…….GRAHAM INGAMELLS…. We are currently half way through a major refurbishment of the Clubhouse, comprising of a `New Balcony` to the east of the club, `new carpets, furniture and lighting` all to be completed before Christmas. A disabled lift will be fitted early in the New Year. We are open for business as usual , the Tea Bar will be closed on 23rd, 24th and 25th of November for a refit in the kitchen and apologise for any inconvenience during this refurbishment but it will definately be worth it in the long run. |

Having not been able to get out Sea fishing on a boat due to the winds, EHSAA Angling Member, Shane Salmon ventured over to France for a weeks freshwater fishing instead. Shane landed a 42.4lb Mirror, 44.8lb Leather, 46.8lb Mirror, 53.8 Fully Scaled Mirror, 55.4lb Mirror and a 59.8lb Mirror and a whopping 61.8lb Mirror Carp. |
